What is compliance training?

Compliance training teaches employees the rules that apply to their jobs, such as harassment prevention and employment law. Employers choose the right edition and verify current duties. Assigned courses show each person's progress, but completion alone does not establish compliance.

Which states require harassment training?

As of October 2026, six US states require private employers to train staff on sexual harassment: New York and Illinois from the first employee, Connecticut from 3 employees, California from 5, Maine from 15 and Delaware from 50. Some other states and cities have narrower rules for certain industries. Empath Learn has harassment prevention editions for all six.
