What Is the Curated Collection?
The Curated Collection is a training course library inside the Empath platform, with more than 14,000 courses from 20+ publishers. It adds training for every role at your MSP. Techs get CCNA and Azure labs. Sales reps and new managers rehearse hard conversations in AI roleplays. Compliance covers HIPAA, PCI DSS, harassment prevention in state editions and much more.
Without it, covering the same ground takes a separate training subscription, a lab platform and a compliance-training vendor. Every Empath Learn seat includes it at no extra cost, labs and AI roleplays too.
Every publisher is credited by name. The five largest are Skillsoft, BizLibrary Productions, Bigger Brains, The MARCOM Group and Packt. The full course list names the rest.
In Empath Grow, it is a premium catalog you add per client. It is one part of the Empath course catalog.

Is the Curated Collection included with Empath Learn?
Yes. Every Empath Learn seat includes the Curated Collection at no extra cost, on every plan, with its hands-on labs and AI roleplays. A Learn seat also includes Empath's own courses built for MSPs, Microsoft Learn, live streams and your own courses, which you can build with the authoring tool or import from YouTube.
How does the Curated Collection work in Empath Grow?
In Empath Grow, the Curated Collection is a premium catalog you add per client, and that client gets the hands-on labs and AI roleplays too. Empath Grow is the LMS an MSP resells to its clients. Premium catalogs work the same on Grow and on Grow Lite, the watch-only plan with no course assigning.
Can a client have both the Curated Collection and Bigger Brains?
No. In Empath Grow, each client has the Curated Collection or Bigger Brains, not both. The Collection already includes Bigger Brains courses, so adding both would repeat them. Standalone Bigger Brains is a smaller Grow catalog of more than 300 courses, and it does not include the labs or AI roleplays.
Who is the Curated Collection for?
Empath Learn includes the Curated Collection's 14,000+ courses, labs and roleplays in every seat, so a growing MSP can assign one library across technical, sales and management roles. Techs get certification paths and labs; sales and account managers get customer-service practice; new leads get coaching. Office staff get Excel and HR gets employment-law topics. Pick courses by job rather than assigning the whole library.
How do the AI roleplays in the Curated Collection work?
Each AI roleplay sits inside a short lesson or course in the Curated Collection. After the video, the learner steps into a realistic workplace scenario and answers an AI in their own words. Then they get instant, personal feedback (what went well and what to change). The Collection has hundreds of them.
Does the Curated Collection include security awareness training?
Yes. The Curated Collection has more than 60 security awareness courses on topics such as spotting and stopping phishing. They are for your own staff in Empath Learn and for Empath Grow clients you add the Collection for. Empath does not run phishing simulations, so an MSP that needs phishing tests uses a dedicated tool alongside it.
Can we bring our training over from another LMS?
Yes. You can bring courses, SOPs and training files over to Empath. SCORM uploads can be turned on. Completion history stays in your old LMS and does not move over. Empath's implementation services can build training pathways aligned to your job descriptions, for one role at a time or for your whole organization.
