Closed Beta: SCORM upload is currently available to select partners as part of a closed beta. If you'd like access to this feature, please reach out to your Partner Success representative.

Prerequisites

  • Content Admin access in Empath
  • A valid SCORM package in .zip format containing an imsmanifest.xml file

Steps

1. Open the Course Creator

From your Empath dashboard, click the Create button and select Course.

2. Open the Import Menu

On the first step of the course creation form, click the Import button in the top-right corner. Select SCORM from the dropdown menu.

3. Choose Upload Mode

The Import SCORM Package dialog offers two modes:

  • Single — Upload one SCORM package at a time
  • Multiple — Upload several SCORM packages in one session

Select the tab that fits your needs.

4. Upload Your Package

Drag and drop your .zip file into the upload area, or click to browse your computer. The upload will begin automatically.

5. Wait for Processing

After the file uploads, Empath will process your SCORM package. This includes extracting the course content and reading the package manifest for course details. Processing time depends on the size of your package.

6. Review and Edit Your Course

Once processing completes:

  • Single upload: You'll be redirected to the course editor where you can review the imported title, description, and content. Make any adjustments before publishing.
  • Multiple upload: You can continue uploading additional packages. Each imported course will be available in your course list as a draft.

  • You can edit the course title, description, thumbnail, and other details after import just like any other course.
