Empath Grow uses one shared seat pool and a single subscription. This article explains how buying, allocating, and billing work.
The buy-pool, allocate, auto-expand model

You buy a quantity of seats into one shared pool.

You allocate seats from the pool to clients and assign them to members. Allocating and assigning within your pool costs nothing extra.

If you allocate beyond what you own, the pool expands automatically. The extra seats are added to your subscription, prorated and co-termed to your renewal date. You authorize this when you enable Grow.
Premium catalog seats
Premium catalog seats follow the same pool model, and your premium catalog seats can never exceed your base seat count.
Billing and statements

One Grow subscription per account, on a 12-month term, separate from your core Empath subscription.

You are billed on the seats you purchase, not on each assignment. Per-seat pricing is shown at checkout.

At the end of each billing month you receive an automated statement email summarizing your Grow charges.

If a renewal or top-up charge is declined, Empath falls back to a hosted checkout page so you can update payment and clear the balance.
