Edit, test or delete a webhook

What's on each webhook's row?

Its name, health (Healthy, Degraded or Unhealthy), Events, Delivered, Failed, Last delivery, a Test webhook button, and a menu with Edit webhook and Delete.

Steps

Send a test with the real secret 1. Click Test webhook on the row. You'll see Test delivered (200) (or the status your receiver returned), or Test failed.

Edit a webhook 1. Open the menu on the row and click Edit webhook. 2. Change the name, URL, events, payload format or personal-data option. 3. Click Save.

Delete a webhook 1. Open the menu and click Delete. 2. Confirm: Delete this webhook? This can't be undone and re-creating it generates a new signing secret.

Good to know

  • Edit webhook never shows the secret again and has no test step. Use Test webhook on the row afterwards.
  • A custom header can't be removed in Edit webhook. To remove it, create a new webhook.
  • There's no pause. To stop a webhook temporarily, untick its events or delete it.
  • Tests don't count towards Delivered or Failed.
