Which notifications send email today

This article explains which notifications send an email today and which only appear in the bell, so you know exactly what your people will receive.

Which notifications send email?

The bell is the broadest channel: almost every notification can appear there. Email is used for the notifications where timing matters.

These send email today:

Assigned training: when a course is assigned.
Due dates, renewals & expiring credentials: reminders 7, 3 and 1 day before a course is due, and warnings 90, 60 and 30 days before a credential expires.
Overdue training: about once a week per overdue course.
Manager notifications: the weekly team report, struggling-learner alerts, approval requests and more. See “Notifications for managers”.
Owner & admin notifications: the monthly executive summary, compliance and seat alerts, and low adoption alerts. See “Notifications for owners & admins”.
Content author notifications: for example, when a course you manage is published. See “Notifications for content authors”.
Webhook alerts: when a webhook you set up stops working. See “Account & system alerts”.
