What is Notification settings?
Notification settings is where you decide how Empath keeps your learners, managers and admins informed. From one page you choose:
- which notifications your company gets, such as new training assignments, due-date reminders and weekly team reports
- how they arrive: in the bell inside Empath, by email, or both
- who receives each one
- whether learners can change them for themselves
Your choices are the default for everyone in your company. Learners have a smaller page of their own where they can turn some notifications off, unless you've locked them. See “Choose which notifications you get”.
The tabs
- Notification types: the main grid. Every kind of notification is a row, grouped by who it's for. Start here.
- Email digest: group non-urgent notifications into one scheduled email.
- Webhooks (advanced): send training events to another system, such as your PSA. Most companies don't need this.

Good to know
- Notification settings is rolling out to companies gradually. If you don't see it in your Admin area yet, contact your Partner Success Manager.
- Invites, sign-in links and password resets aren't controlled here. They always send. See “What Notification settings doesn't control”.
