What can managers receive?
Manager notifications include learners' names, so they start off until you turn them on. (New companies may have Weekly team report & approval requests switched on from day one.) Learners never receive these.
Weekly team report & approval requests - Weekly team training report: an action list sent once a week, with sections such as Needs you now, Overdue, Struggling, Due this week and Completed this week. Empty sections are left out, and a week with nothing to report sends no email. - Struggling learner alert: when someone fails the same knowledge check several times in a row. - Finished everything early: when someone completes all their assigned training well ahead of the due dates. - Too much training, too little time: when someone's remaining training won't fit before their due dates. - Training requests waiting on you: a weekly nudge when requests are waiting for approval. - New hire on your team: when someone joins a manager's team.
At-risk team alerts - The team's overdue rate is too high, someone hasn't made progress for a while, or the team is below its completion target. These are usually included in the weekly team report instead of being sent separately.
Coaching prompts - Occasional ideas for developing your team, such as a quarterly growth check-in or how your team compares with others. Off until you turn them on.
Good to know
- When a learner asks to be assigned a course, the managers they choose always get the request, even if this row is off.
- Managers can see a preview of their weekly report on the Email digest tab. See “Preview the digest”.
- You can also send a copy of these emails to a shared inbox, such as your PSA. See “Send a copy to a shared inbox (e.g. your PSA)”.
