Objective
This KB outlines the steps for managing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and setting up global MFA policies within the Empath platform.
Key Steps
1. Verify Administrative Role 0:40

Log into the Empath platform.

Click on your profile menu in the top corner.

Select 'Profile' and navigate to the 'User' tab.

Confirm that you have the 'Admin' role listed among your roles.
2. Access Security Tab 1:31

On the left-hand navigation ribbon, click on the 'Security' tab.

Locate the MFA box under 'Security Checkup'.
3. Manage MFA Settings 1:53

Click on the MFA box and select 'Manage'.

Review the recommended actions and the list of users enrolled in MFA.
4. Configure MFA Options 2:24

Under the 'Configuration' tab, choose from the following options:

Force MFA for all users.

Force MFA except for users using Enterprise SSO.

Note that you cannot force MFA if it is enabled but not enforced.

To manage MFA settings for users:

Navigate to the 'Users' tab.

Note that you cannot edit MFA settings directly from this tab.

If a user needs to delete or re-enroll in MFA, they can do so from their 'Privacy and Security' tab, provided they can access the platform.
7. Resetting MFA for Users 4:46

If you need to reset MFA for a user:

File a support ticket by clicking on the chat bubble in the corner.

Provide details such as the user's name and reason for the reset.
