How to View Assigned Courses in Empath

Objective

This KB outlines the steps to view courses assigned to you, as an employee, in the Empath platform, ensuring you can easily access your learning materials.

Key Steps

 

Step 1: Log In to Empath 0:00

  • Access the Empath platform and log in with your credentials.

  • Ensure you are logged into the correct tenant (e.g., empath demo tenant).

 

Step 2: Identify Your Permissions 0:49

  • Check the top navigation ribbon:

    • If you see the word 'members' between 'dashboard' and 'courses', you have extra permissions (manager or content admin).

    • If you do not see 'members', proceed to the next step.

 

Step 3: Access Your Assigned Content 1:57

  • On your dashboard, locate the section labeled 'What's Next'.

  • Click on 'See All Assignments' to view all assigned pathways, courses, and live streams.

 

Step 4: View All Assigned Courses 2:07

  • After clicking 'See All Assignments', a list of all your assigned content will appear.

  • If you suspect you have more than three courses, click the 'See All' button to view everything assigned.

 

Step 5: Understand the Displayed Content 2:46

  • The assignments displayed will prioritize the most recent assignments and due dates.

 

Step 6: Use the Courses Tab for Additional Filters 3:06

  • Click on the 'Courses' tab in the top navigation.

  • Use the left-hand sidebar to filter by 'Assigned' to see all content assigned to you.

 

Step 7: Check Completed Courses 4:00

  • Click on the 'Completed' tab to view any courses you have finished.

  • Note that completed courses may not always reflect on your transcript.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure you are viewing assigned content to receive credit for completed courses.

  • If you have manager or content admin permissions, this SOP may not apply to you.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Regularly check your 'What's Next' section for updates on assignments.

  • Use the filter options in the 'Courses' tab to quickly find specific content.
